Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Benner, Baltimore, MD, circa 1845, cylindrical jar with rounded and tooled shoulder and squared rim, brush-decorated with swags and hanging flowers above groups of swags. The decoration on this jar is closely related to a signed "Henry Benner / Baltimore" half-gallon jar in this auction, leading to this attribution. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Excellent condition with minor chipping to rim. H 8 1/2".
