Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, American, circa 1875, both of cylindrical form, the smaller with brushed hanging floral motif, attributed to W.H. Lehew, Strasburg, VA, the larger with brushed foliate motifs, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA. Smaller in very nice condition with one small rim chip and one minor rim nick. Larger with lines in underside, some exfoliation to surface, and staining to surface. H (of smaller) 6 3/4".
