Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, second half 19th century, a butter crock with slip-trailed looping decoration on front, inscribed "1/2 G." in cobalt on reverse, NJ origin, circa 1855; paired with a swag-decorated milkpan, Baltimore, MD origin circa 1880. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Butter crock with bloated areas and a small rim chip. Milkpan with a spout chip and some typical in-the-firing surface flaws. Diam. (of milkpan) 9 3/8" ; H 3 1/2".
