Manganese-Decorated Redware Tub, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, wide, cylindrical form with raised banding, coggled rim, and faux-rope handles, the surface decorated with heavy manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze. A large reglued section to wall of tub including restoration along break and heavy painted restoration to surface of interior. Various edge wear. Lines to underside. Wear to interior base. Diam. 9" ; H 5 3/4".
