Rare and Fine Glazed Redware Jar with Woman's Head Handles, PA origin, 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and narrow, flattened rim, the shoulder featuring two molded and applied bonneted woman's heads forming the handles. Surface covered in a heavy lead glaze. High point wear to woman's heads. Small chips and wear to rim. Light surface wear around midsection. A few small base chips and a few minor base nicks. H 8 1/4".
