Open-Handled Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Crawford County, GA origin, second half 19th century, ovoid jar with flared collar and two vertical strap handles applied at the shoulder, decorated with a streaky olive to dark-brown alkaline glaze. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection; Crocker Farm, Inc., July 22, 2017, lot 333. A 5" line to side of jar. Two small rim chips. A 2" inverted Y-shaped line from rim. On the interior, this line connects to a short vertical surface line from rim and short horizontal surface line, both not visible on interior. A 1" U-shaped glaze line to shoulder, not visible on interior. H 10".
