Manganese-Decorated Redware Flowerpot, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, flaring pot with rounded rim and attached saucer, the surface decorated with streaks of manganese against a cream-yellow ground, applied under a heavy lead glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Excellent condition with a small chip to rim of pot and a small chip to rim of saucer. Three additional small chips on the underside appear to be in-the-firing contact marks. H 4 3/8".
