Scarce One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Sistersville, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "A. DARE & SON. / Sistersville . / W . Va." Freehand stripes above and below. Some light wear to cobalt and minor surface staining. H 10 1/4".
