Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WARNER & RUSSELL / BRIDGEPORT W.VA.," circa 1884-1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring diagonal Warner & Russell maker's stenciling flanking two arrows. Scrolled cobalt-script "5" at shoulder. Excellent condition with a slight warp to rim and traces of old red and blue paint to surface. H 13 1/8".
