Small-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Freehand and Stenciled Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated with a stenciled scrollwork motif between straight and wavy freehand stripes. Excellent size with top-to-bottom decoration. A 1 1/8" chip to proper left side of rim. A tiny base chip. H 6 3/8".
