Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "C," attributed to Pottersville Stoneware Manufactory, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1820s-1830s, ovoid jar with tooled, semi-rounded rim, coated in a two-tone alkaline glaze featuring a grayish ground with olive runs descending from the shoulder. Reverse "C" stamp at base. Very nice condition with some shallow chipping around bottom edge. H 10".
