Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, probably George Lent, NY State origin, first quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted four-petaled floral motif in the distinctive style of George Lent. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Shallow chipping to front of spout. Some fry to cobalt. Two small glazed-over base chips and a minor in-the-firing iron ping to base. H 14 1/2".
