Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, brush-decorated around the shoulder with swags over a slip-coated surface. Excellent condition with some minor in-the-firing flaws and a chip to underside at edge, the rim slightly out-of-round. H 12 3/8".
