Unusual Glazed Stoneware Footed Pot with Lid, Signed "AM," Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1956-1969, ovoid pot with flared rim, resting on three applied feet, brush-decorated with a blue slip band around the shoulder under a heavy whitish glaze over beige clay. Includes original lid with recessed finial and matching glaze. Underside of pot incised "AM." The recessed finial of the lid suggests this piece may have been designed to hold a candle. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (including lid) 7".
