Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Turtle Creek, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "J.B. HEZLEP. / DEALER IN / GENERAL MERCHANDISE. / TURTLE CREEK. PA." A drip of brown slip to "HE" in "HEZLEP". Some faintness to stenciling. Some light surface wear. H 8 1/2".
