Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, attributed to Thomas Wilbur, Zanesville, OH, circa 1825, ovoid jar with flattened, squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted floral motif with alternating rounded and pointed petals. A few rim chips, the largest measuring 2" on proper left side of jar. Two other smaller rim chips. Interior of rim with wear and two minor chips. A small in-the-firing ping on front of jar. H 14".
