Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Eagle Motif, OH origin, circa 1876, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stenciled design of a flying eagle with banner in its beak, inscribed "E. PLURIBUS UNUM." Stenciled "5" within a wreath above, underscored by a vine motif. Significant staining. A small chip to interior of rim. A 1 1/4" horizontal surface crack to interior of rim. H 12 3/8".
