One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING. PA," circa 1870, highly-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, brush-decorated with an undulating, flowering vine. Cobalt highlight to lower handle terminal. A 5/8" chip to interior of spout. A 2 3/4" vertical glazed-over line on proper right side of jug. A 1" glazed-over line at base on front. Some light surface wear. H 11 3/4".
