One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Very nice condition with a spout chip, an in-the-firing iron ping to bottom edge of jug, and some staining. H 11".
