Large-Sized Flint Enamel Book Flask, Stamped "BENNINGTON / BATTLE," attributed to Lyman, Fenton & Co., Bennington, VT, circa 1850, decorated with brown, yellow, and blue against a cream-colored ground. Spine impressed "BENNINGTON / BATTLE." The largest size book flask produced by this firm. A large loss to one corner. Two small chips to spine. A small chip to top edge of cover. A long, tight firing crack along edge of spine. Minor traces of old paint to surface. Some light surface wear. L 8 1/4 ; W 3 1/4" ; H 11 1/4".
