One-Gallon Towanda, PA Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "John Sullivan / Towanda. Pa." Provenance: Herb and Carol Hausmann Collection. A 4 1/2" hairline from rim on proper right side of jug. A small spout chip with a faint 1" line descending from it. Other minor spout wear. A small U-shaped line to base. Some staining and small surface flaws. H 11 1/4".
