Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Lincoln County, NC origin, possibly Daniel Seagle, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jar with flattened rim, tooled banding to midsection, and applied pocket handles, the surface covered in a streaky olive alkaline glaze with unusual brown glaze treatment to the handles. Very nice condition with a small handle chip, in-the-firing base flakes, a 5/8" blistered spot to glaze at base, and a glaze flake to interior base. H 13".
