Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to Edward Stone, Buncombe County, NC, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with tooled midsection and flared collar with semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a mottled brown alkaline glaze. A 1" flake to interior of spout. Two additional minor chips and a minor in-the-firing ping to spout. Rim with roughness and a few in-the-firing pings. H 10 1/4".
