Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Edgefield District, SC origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with raised shoulder molding and semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a gray-green alkaline glaze. A restored 1 3/4" section to rim with an unrestored 2 3/4" line descending from it. Small, shallow base chips. H 8 7/8".
