Small-Sized Butter Crock with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, wide, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "STOLZE & BAYHN. / 1105 / MARKET ST, / & 34 ELEVENTH ST. / WHEELING. W. VA." Desirable form and size, measuring roughly one-half gallon. Provenance: Ex-Earl Ray Bush Collection, Huntington, WV. Underside with black marker inscription, "#59 / Earl Ray Bush / Collection / Huntington W. Va." Otherwise excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 5 5/8" ; Diam. 6".
