Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "G.S. GUY & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a crested bird with long tail, perched on a spotted leaf. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Chips to interior and exterior of rim. A chip to proper right handle. H 10 1/4".
