Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "FRANK B. NORTON / WORCESTER MASS.," circa 1858-1877, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a crested parrot perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A few rim chips. Some light fry to cobalt. A small scratch to bird's face. A small base flake. A few minor base nicks. Some light staining. H 10 1/2".
