Rare Rockingham-Glazed Stoneware Corn Pitcher, Stamped "S. RISLEY / NORWICH / 3," CT origin, circa 1850-1875, molded pitcher with relief corn stalk pattern, upswept spout, and spurred handle, decorated with mottled amber-colored glaze over a lighter ground. Underside impressed with Sidney Risley maker's mark along with the number, "3." A closely-related corn pattern pitcher resides in the collection of the Connecticut Historical Society. An approximately 5" hairline from rim on reverse. Otherwise excellent condition. H 9 1/4".
