Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to George and Albert Black, Somerfield, PA, circa 1865, ovoid jar with flattened rim and tooling to shoulder and midsection, brush-decorated around the shoulder with the Blacks' distinctive hoof-shaped floral motifs. Excellent condition with some minor chips to shoulder molding and some minor in-the-firing pings. H 9 3/4".
