Rare Tanware Jug with Reppert Stenciling, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, the surface dipped in Albany slip and stenciled with the inscription, "LITTLE BROWN JUG. / MANUF'D BY / T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. PA." The first piece of Western Pennsylvania tanware with a stenciled maker's mark that we have ever offered. A 5/8" spout chip and two minor spout chips. H 8 1/4".
