Fine Glazed Redware Tub, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, flare-rimmed tub with recessed underside, footed base, and tooled shoulder, the lead-glazed exterior decorated with an unusual treatment of orange slip and streaked manganese over a dark orange ground. Interior with clear lead glaze over orange slip. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Excellent condition. Diam. 6 3/8" ; H 3 3/4".
