Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled advertising, "I.A. GAREE & CO. / WINES / & / LIQUORS / MARKET SQUARE / WHEELING, W. VA." Essentially as-made condition with a 1 1/2" in-the-firing base chip on reverse, in-the-firing chips to underside, and in-the-firing contact marks to shoulder. H 9 1/2".
