One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "HORKHEIMER BRO'S. / DISTILLERS & IMPORTERS / OF WINES / BRANDIES, / WHISKIES & GIN. / 1152 WATER ST. 1,3 & 5 12th ST / WHEELING. W. VA." A few small flakes to spout. Minor wear to cobalt. Spots of reddish-brown staining. H 12".
