One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Evans, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "J.M. PARSONS & CO. / DEALERS IN / GENERAL / MERCHANDISE / EVANS. W.VA." Freehand stripe decoration above and below. A 1" flake to interior of rim and some light rim wear. H 10 1/4".
