Outstanding Miniature Redware Cup with Three-Color Slip Decoration, Mid-Atlantic or possibly Southern U.S., circa 1800-1840, ovoid cup with footed base and flared rim, the surface dipped in a sporadic cream-colored slip, decorated with marbled copper and manganese slip, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Exceptional size and glaze treatment. Provenance: From a fifty-year New England collection. Very nice condition with wear to rim. H 1 7/8" ; Diam. (at rim) 2".
