Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, attributed to the Remmey Family, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860-1885, a cylindrical jar with squared rim, brush-decorated with three hanging floral motifs, probably Henry Harrison Remmey, circa 1860; paired with a cylindrical crock with brushed leaf decoration on the front and reverse, swags below each handle, and highlights to the terminals. Smaller jar with two tight spider lines to rim area, partially visible on interior. Jar is additionally out-of-round with a small chip to interior of rim, a recessed in-the-firing contact mark to midsection, and a minor recessed contact mark to shoulder. Larger crock with chipping around rim, a small glazed-over chip to one handle, and a 2 1/4" hairline from rim. H 8".
