Scarce Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Cake Crock with Hannibal, OH Advertising, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "H. NEUENSCHWANDER. / DRY GOODS / HANNIBAL OHIO.," accented with stenciled foliate devices. A 5/8" chip to molding below rim. A faint, approximately 2 1/2" hairline from rim. Some wear to cobalt. Areas of staining and residue to sides and reverse. H 6 7/8" ; Diam. 7 3/4".
