Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Figure of a Rooster, Signed and Dated "Edwin Meaders / 1-9-1987 " Cleveland, GA origin, 1987, wheel-thrown and hand-modeled figure of a rooster with turned head and saw-toothed details to combs and tail, the surface covered in a mottled olive-green alkaline glaze. Underside with incised "Edwin Meaders" signature and date. A 4" x 3 1/2" reglued section of tail. Otherwise excellent condition. H 16".
