Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Howe and Clark, Athens, NY, circa 1805-1813, ovoid jar with flared rim and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a curved-stem floral motif on one side and a Manhattan-inspired floral motif on the reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: Warren F. Hartmann Collection. Small base chips. A small rim chip. A 3 1/2" crack from rim descending to right of one handle. H 7 3/8".
