Blue-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug with Crying Eyes, Signed and Dated "Edwin Meaders / 7-13-1995," Cleveland, GA origin, 1995, ovoid jug with hand-molded facial features included large ears, pupilless eyes with incised lashes, nose with carved nostrils, closed mouth, and broad chin. Surface covered in a bright blue glaze with green highlights to the eyes. Provenance: Carl and Marian Mullis Collection; Ex-Southern Folk Pottery Collectors Society, 2014; Ex-William House. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 10 1/4".
