One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "RICHEY & HAMILTON / PALATINE. / W.VA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Richey & Hamilton maker's stenciling along with stenciled flourishes. Very nice condition with a 1 3/4" in-the-firing separation line at base on jar's right side, extending 3/4" onto underside, not visible on interior. A second, very minor 3/8" in-the-firing line at base. Minor surface wear to right side/reverse. H 10".
