One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, attributed to the Crolius Family, Manhattan, NY, early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and open loop handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a stylized drape motif accented with spots. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base chips. Two minor rim chips. A 1 1/4" line from rim above one handle. Various iron pings to surface and a small area of salt residue near base. H 9 1/2".
