Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "LEHMAN & RIEDINGER / POUGHKEEPSIE N Y," circa 1845, highly-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, brush-decorated with a flowering plant bearing two oval, open-centered blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a few minor in-the-firing flaws, including a shallow contact mark to handle and an iron ping to left of decoration. H 12 1/2".
