Lead-and-Manganese-Glazed Redware Figure of a Seated Dog on Base, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, hand-modeled figure of a dog with impressed eyes, unusual doubly-stamped collar, and incised details throughout, seated on an oval base. Impressed circle-and-oval motif to center of base and impressed circle design bordering the base. Surface covered in a mottled brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Extraordinary condition, difficult to find on this form, with a minor base chip and some expected minor surface wear. L 4 1/4" ; H 4 1/2".
