Two Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon crock with brushed triple-blossomed plant motif, paired with a larger crock with unusual four-blossomed plant motif. Taller with long inverted Y-shaped crack from rim on reverse, a second long Y-shaped crack below one handle extending onto underside, a rim chip, two nicks and light wear to one handle, minor wear to opposite handle, a small in-the-fissure at base on reverse, and staining. One-gallon crock with a 3" line from rim on reverse, an approximately 5 1/2" horizontal line at base, and a large in-the-firing fissure to underside, continuing as a 2" hairline at the base on the front and a 2 1/4" hairline at the base on the reverse. The fissure and the hairlines that extend from it appear as a long hairline to the underside. H (of taller) 8 3/8".
