Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Inkwell, Northeastern U.S. origin, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical form with central ink hole and three smaller quill holes, brush-decorated around the top with a series of swags. Four rim chips, mostly small. A small piece of in-the-firing clay adhered to side. Two tiny base chips, possibly in-the-making. H 1 5/8" ; Diam. 4".
