Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Batter Pail with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "A.L. HYSSONG / BLOOMSBURG, PA," circa 1891-1914, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, applied clay tabs with wood-and-wire bail handle, and handle at base on reverse, brush-decorated on the front with a drooping floral motif and cobalt around the spout. Includes tin lid. Desirable form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9 1/4".
