Scarce Multi-Glazed Redware Vase, attributed to J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid form with footed base, tall, flaring neck, and tooled accents to rim and body, the lead-glazed surface decorated with cream-colored slip and splashed copper and manganese over an orange ground. A 1 7/8" chipped area to rim. A shallow 5/8" chip to interior of rim. Additional wear to rim. Three cracks descending approximately 2 1/2", 2 1/4", and 1 1/4" from rim. A 5/8" surface flake to midsection. Light surface wear to body. A 1 1/4" base chip. Other minor chips and expected minor wear to base. H 10 5/8".
