Glazed Redware Jar, Western NY State origin, possibly Alvin Wilcox, West Bloomfield, NY, mid 19th century, vasiform jar with rounded foot and flattened rim, the lead-glazed surface featuring mottled red and cream coloration with appealing crawling throughout. An approximately 1 3/4" filled area to rim. A 1 3/4" rim chip. Other rim wear. A hairline on underside, continuing a short distance onto base in two places. H 8 1/2".
