Very Rare Copper-Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Inscribed "Victor Singer," Singer Pottery, Haycock Township, Bucks County, PA, late 19th century, with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior decorated in slip-trailed copper slip with the name, "Victor Singer," accented with spots. Made for or possibly by Victor Singer, born in 1871, the son of potter, Simon Singer. Provenance: Pennypacker Auctions Sale of the Flack Collection, May 13, 1985, lot # 336. Purchased by the consignor from the Stradlings, New York, NY, in May 1985. A chip to interior of rim. Minor wear to reverse edge of rim. Diam. 8 1/4".
